1. Key Accountabilities: Operational equipment

a) Operates safely all downhole and seabed PCPT systems to gather reliable and accurate in-situ data
b) Assesses the condition of measurement equipment based on checklists and own insight and indicates (potential) malfunctions.
c) Localises malfunctions and their causes. Assesses their nature and scope and determines the time and materials needed for repair.
d) Carries out maintenance and repair work.
e) Installs and commissions measurement equipment.
f) Assists with the operation of measurement equipment to obtain geotechnical data.
g) Constructs (new) measurement equipment with the assistance of handbooks.
h) Informs supervisor/operator about progress of maintenance work and indicates when more specialist intervention is needed.

Mobilizations and Demobilisations

a) Mobilises measurement equipment prior to offshore work, including the assembly of various components, making use of handbooks and procedures.
b) Checks stock materials on board based on a stock list and reports the necessary orders.
c) Demobilises measurement equipment after use offshore, including dismantling and cleaning components.
d) Maintenance and repair work to be identified and actioned to ensure equipment is working condition ready before next mobilization.

Documented data

a) Records work carried out and any specific issues in the system.
b) Writes work reports and malfunction reports.

Gained and shared knowledge

a) Follows the necessary training courses and keeps expertise up to date.
b) Draws attention to and reports improvements in work processes etc.
c) Assists with writing handbooks and procedures for new and improved equipment.
d) Supervises onthejob training of less experienced Technicians.
e) Complies with (company) regulations, current standards and procedures in the fields of safety, the environment, order and neatness (incl. QHSE, ISO, Safety, health & welfare and the environment).
f) Keeps the workplace and equipment clean and orderly.
g) Lead by example and implement Company Golden Rules
h) Do not indulge in any action which places yourself or others at risk
i) Be aware of the general requirements for safety with continued selfdevelopment
j) Assist and cooperate with investigating incidents leading to close out of assigned actions
k) Have a personal concern for the safety of yourself and others and set a leadership example at all times

2. Basic Function:

Construction, operation, maintenance and repair of measurement equipment (on and offshore), so that measurements of the required quality can be made in time in the field (offshore).

Deployment in projects

a) Carries out routine work with frequently used equipment.
b) Assists with interpretation of more complex handbooks and/or work on less frequently used equipment.
c) Responsible for the quality of own repair/ maintenance work.
d) Carries out tests and operates equipment.

Involvement in the field

a) Understands relevant procedures for frequently used equipment and acts accordingly.
b) Able to carry out routine work on several types of equipment.

Product improvements / developments

a) Helps seek solutions from daily work experience.
b) Reports repetitive problems with equipment, working processes and hazardous situations.

3. Specific Additional Duties:

a) Dependent on area of expertise (mechanical or electrical) assist drilling team with any technical issues related to operation, maintenance or repair of the drilling equipment.
b) On completion of each project produce a project debriefing report to include but not limited to the following:

 Brief summary of project performance
 Lessons learnt

4. Principal Working Relationships:

a) Work closely with Drilling Supervisor and Senior Operator and adhere to the responsibilities shared and or provided by them.
b) Work closely the drilling team and with specialists from other Fugro Opcos or 3rd Party subcontractors to ensure safe and effective sampling and testing programs
