We are looking for a strong technical candidate who have broad based commercial experience on ground investigation, foundation testing, geophysics or instrumentation and monitoring works. Based in Malaysia, the candidate should possess at least 10 years of related work experience and take a leading role in developing the market in Malaysia primarily and extend the services into the regional market as appropriate.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct, monitoring and maintain the operations and activities of the service line to achieve financial targets including profitability, cash collection and growth
  • Implementation of the highest practicable standards of Health, Safety and Environmental Performance and maintenance of the Management Systems to ensure compliance with appropriate International Standards
  • Develop strategic direction for the business unit in line with the global corporate vision and objectives
  • Business Development and Client Relationship Management
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key clients
  • Tender/Proposal preparation and close monitoring of project execution to optimise profitability and maximise client satisfaction with visits to site from time to time
  • Support project personnel with fieldwork/ reporting / monitoring as required
  • Preparation of the monthly and quarterly Management Reports, Annual Profit Plan and Forecasts for review and approval by the GM and Business Controller
  • Maintain system for monthly revenue and cash flow forecasting
  • Ensure the continual development of employees' technical, commercial and project management skills
  • Maintain service quality and client satisfaction
  • Help with the Development and implementation of procedures to achieve continual improvement in risk management standards
  • Liaison with other service line managers to realise market potential in their territory
  • Assume role of Project Manager on particularly complex projects
  • Act as role model for excellence, exceptionalism, quality, responsibility, professionalism and teamwork



  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline
  • Broad based commercial experience on ground investigation, foundation testing, geophysics and/or instrumentation and monitoring works is a must
  • Min 10 years of working experience in related industry and field
  • Ability to think strategically and follow through on the successful implementation of plans
  • Excellent knowledge of the local construction industry
  • Effective communication skills including verbal and written communication
  • Strong business acumen with excellent analytical ad problem solving skills
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Detail oriented and strong organisational skills
  • Results driven and highly motivated
