Fugro Intersite B.V. is part of Fugro N.V. and develops and produces among other things state-of-the-art positioning systems for maritime use both above and beneath sea level using a wide variety of techniques like satellite navigation, INS and computer vision. Our systems are used on projects for oil and gas companies, dredging firms and construction companies. In our group (50 fte) we are continuously active with developing new software and hardware for our products.

 

C# Software Engineer

 

Fugro Netherlands Marine is mainly focused on Marine Site Characterisation services and is looking for C#.NET Software Engineer based in Nootdorp, the Netherlands. This part of the Fugro organisation of ~300 employees operates 6-10 geotechnical investigation and geophysical survey vessels. We work internationally for international clients on investigations for offshore wind farms and other offshore sites.

How does it feel if your software is used worldwide in high tech offshore equipment under harsh circumstances? We are looking for an awesome passionate developer who wants to work in a very advanced R&D team developing the best data acquisition and control system for offshore and onshore equipment with great opportunities for training on the latest technologies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

The software developer role is a key position in the R&D department; you will contribute to the architecture of existing and future systems and you will be part of a small agile team. Your responsibilities include designing, developing, testing and substantial customer contact, familiarity with WPF and MVVM is advantageous.

 

Requirements:

  • Educated to a degree level in relevant discipline (software, electronics);

  • Minimum 2 years of C# experience (MVVM is an advantage);

  • Experience with component based development;

  • Experience in writing unit tests (functional and non-functional) ;

  • Knowledge of version control and defect tracking;

  • Affinity with hardware;

  • Knowledge of CAN / CANOpen or similar protocols is an advantage;

  • Ability to communicate technical matters clearly and efficiently;

  • Educated to HBO higher in software / electronics related discipline;

  • Willing to occasionally go offshore;

  • Fluency in Dutch is an advantage.
