Finance at Fugro group level covers the full scope of Finance activities: Insurance, Fiscal, Treasury and Group Control.

 

The Group Reporting department acts as a 'Center of Expertise' for corporate systems, reporting, and analysis. The department is, amongst others, responsible for the tax provisioning, management accounting and consolidation systems. In addition, the team manages the enterprise master data registry and data governance supporting the enterprise architecture.

 

The main objectives of the Group Reporting team are:

    • Ensure quality, consistency and integrity reporting across the Group;
    • Deploy and monitor world class and standard controls across the finance organization;
    • Continuous increase process quality & ensure soundness and integrity of financials;
    • The Master Data Governance Specialist is together with the Group Reporting team a key element and reports to the Manager Group Reporting.

 

 

POSITION

  • Support and facilitate the metadata structures to govern the enterprise architecture and in addition facilitate, monitor and govern access to all financial systems ensuring security controls are enforced;
  • Secure financial data, access & reporting integrity by providing accounting information systems expertise to the finance function;
  • Be the specialist in security, access and application controls;
  • Manage and develop the ITSM tool supporting the governance of enterprise architecture and user access;
  • Design, develop and govern Fugro Enterprise metadata architecture supporting ("one source of the truth").

 

TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES

  • Execute the quarterly review of the security matrix supporting the performance management platform;

 

  • Manage Meta Data change requests in Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms including Global Chart of Accounts and linked dimensions, accounts such as vendors, creditors, banks and ensure appropriate checks are performed;
  • Update and check exchange rate tables in ERP and EPM;
  • Manage new user set-up in EPM, ERP and Treasury systems and periodic review of existing users as well as maintain user security;
  • Support internal and external IT audits;
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of data sources, business process and enterprise architecture;
  • Communicate with the end users' community on all elements involved in the HFM / FDMEE application Tracks and maintain metrics when needed;
  • Provide assistance to the business for access security, metadata changes, and data governance;
  • Develop expertise on data governance within Fugro. You secure financial data & reporting integrity by providing sound change and governance processes.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Master degree in Business Intelligence, Engineering or IT;
  • Preferably an understanding of Master Data Management (MDM - DAMA);
  • Understanding of the importance of a controlled environment for tracking metadata, data and users. You have a firm understanding of the structure and functionality of IT systems;
  • Able to develop technical skills (e.g SQL, PowerBI, Excel, etc.) in order to maintain the data governance of financial applications;
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable to interact with corporate finance and accounting personnel from head office and the business units, various technical teams (Fugro ICT) and business stakeholders to optimize and maintain the overall HFM reliability, availability, and performance;
  • Able to continuously learn, improve and develop new skills, a desire for learning and understanding the Fugro application landscape to improve the internal controls of Fugro's financial reporting practices;
  • Flexible team player with integrity and ethical standards;
  • Willing and able to travel up to 10% to international locations.
